We all have bad days mentally, where no matter what we do and/or regardless of what is said to us, we just can’t escape the negativity.
We’re only
human and life is extremely tough, so it’s expected to have a bad day here and
there, but when it becomes any everyday thing we really need to evaluate our
mental state and if necessary ask for help.
We are not
the only people dealing with issues in their life, and I tell you this not to
make light of what you’re going through but to let you know that you are not
alone, there are people out there you could come to with your plights, who have
been there and will understand what you’re going through.
The devil
will occupy our minds on occasion, he is like that unwanted house guest, but we
must do our best to not let him become a permanent resident and to evict him as
fast as possible.
Our minds
are powerful, and if not properly taken care of could be extremely dangerous, that
is why we must do our due diligence to keep it healthy and strong, that way
when attacked it can stand its ground, it could stand a fighting chance.
When a
negative thought tries to take over your mind you have to force it out, fill
that space with a positive thought to take its place and/or find something constructive
to do with your time that will keep your mind from being idle and the devil at
bay.
Now this is
not always easy, and to think otherwise would be completely foolish and setting
yourself up for a disaster, but with time and practice is does become easier
and less of a hassle and more of a habit.
There is a
lot of negativity in this world, and to pretend it doesn’t exist and act like
we are immune to its power is detrimental to our wellbeing and mental health,
we don’t have to embrace it but we must understand that it is a formidable foe
and a threat not to be taken lightly.
You have to
learn how to fight it, because it’s not always avoidable, and prolonged exposure
to it could lead to some serious health conditions like physical disabilities, depression
and even suicide if it gets severe enough.
So
remember, not only should we work out our bodies to make them strong and physically
fit, but also our minds, because it doesn’t make sense to put a nice paint job and
some fancy rims on a vehicle with a bad engine.
